Supplying Libiao Robotics' Logistics Automation Equipment in Korea
Doosan Logistics Solutions (hereinafter DLS) announced that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Libiao Robotics to strengthen competitiveness in logistics automation. Headquartered in Hangzhou, China, Libiao Robotics is a global company that supplies logistics robots and solutions. It has secured more than 100 customers worldwide, including in the U.S., Japan, Korea, and Europe, and over 45,000 logistics robots are currently operating at customer sites. The main products that the two companies will supply in Korea include ¡ãAirRob ¡ãT-sort sorting system ¡ã3D sorting system. These systems are characterized by high logistics efficiency, significant cost-saving effects, and the ability to easily scale up or down depending on the customer's needs or logistics volume. AirRob, first launched last year, is a system supplied exclusively in Korea by DLS among logistics automation solution providers, and it handles tote boxes. By installing a modular lightweight stacker crane on product storage racks, products can be quickly stored and retrieved. It uses a GTP (Goods-to-Person) method to automatically deliver items to workers in conjunction with logistics robots. AirRob features a short installation period and low construction cost. The T-sort sorting system allows logistics robots to move back and forth within a designated area, quickly recognizing and sorting products to deliver them to specified boxes. The platform on which the logistics robots travel can be flexibly designed, resulting in high spatial efficiency. The 3D sorting system, which can classify more items compared to conventional systems, is structured with multiple layers of platforms and sorting boxes, increasing space utilization. It is particularly suitable for sorting small quantities of various items and for handling return logistics. Last year, DLS implemented a logistics automation system using the 3D sorting system at a large fashion logistics center in the Seoul metropolitan area. By automating logistics tasks previously handled manually using 50 logistics robots, logistics processing capacity nearly doubled, and customer satisfaction was high due to the easy scalability of the system. DLS CEO Kim Deok-hyun stated, ¡°With increasing demand for logistics automation systems even in small logistics centers due to recent concerns over worker safety and difficulties in securing labor, we expect our collaboration with Libiao Robotics to help in acquiring more customers.¡± He added, ¡°Moving forward, we will strengthen the software capabilities of our dedicated logistics robotics team to enhance our logistics automation system operations, and we plan to expand our order opportunities by securing a wide range of logistics equipment to meet diverse customer needs.¡± <Copyright ¨Ï Monthly Logistics Magazine (www.ulogistics.co.kr) All rights reserved> |
