ZimGo Introduces ¡®Shipment-Centric¡¯ Export-Import Collaboration Features
AI-based quotation and shipment management tailored to each step of the export-import processTradlinx announced that it is introducing shipment-centric export-import collaboration features to its export-import collaboration solution, ZimGo. ZimGo is a specialized export-import collaboration platform that simplifies complex tasks from quotation to transportation and automatically generates and manages necessary documents. This update includes a wide range of new features to meet various customer demands, such as: ¡ã a shipment-centric task management system ¡ã logistics contract information management function ¡ã improved UI/UX for enhanced user convenience.
The core of this update is that ZimGo¡¯s task management system has shifted from a ¡®quotation-centric¡¯ to a ¡®shipment-centric¡¯ structure. Previously, ZimGo provided services aligned with the general logistics workflow of checking quotations and arranging cargo transportation. However, as client needs for shipment management increased and their requirements became more diverse, the need for a more professional and integrated solution emerged. This is because shipment management tasks consume the most time and resources, especially booking sailing schedules, preparing cargo for shipment, and creating shipment documents, which are often tedious and complex.
With this update, ZimGo can now be utilized in an optimized way depending on the customer¡¯s situation. Companies with limited export-import experience can receive optimal quotations through the ¡®AI-based logistics provider recommendation function,¡¯ while experienced companies that don¡¯t need new quotes can simply input cargo information to manage shipments and handle logistics efficiently.
It also supports convenient collaboration by automating tedious tasks. Necessary documents and information such as packing lists and commercial invoices can be automatically generated and shared. Existing forwarders that customers were working with can be invited free of charge to collaborate within ZimGo, enabling efficient collaboration without the need for emails or phone calls. All task history is automatically managed by each shipment.
A new feature for managing contract information such as POs (Purchase Orders) and Offer Sheets has also been introduced through this update. In international trade, PO, Offer Sheet, and B/L are essential documents. PO and Offer Sheet are trade documents containing information about the quantity and price of purchased goods, functioning as an ¡®order form¡¯ in import operations. The B/L is a document issued after requesting transportation from a forwarder, detailing the type, quantity, and destination of goods in transit.
Until now, logistics personnel had the inconvenience of having to manage the same export-import case using both PO and B/L criteria. Product and order management were based on PO or Offer Sheet, while transportation was managed based on B/L, leading to a disconnect between product and transportation information and causing task confusion. Especially since each manager or partner used different documents and one PO could be associated with multiple B/Ls, it was difficult to match and manage order details with actual shipments. To solve this problem, Tradlinx introduced a feature allowing easy input and management of contract information such as PO and Offer Sheets within ZimGo. As a result, customers can now manage not only transportation but also the overall trade process through ZimGo.
In addition, integration with ZimGo¡¯s cloud system, Z Drive, has been enhanced, allowing more flexible cargo registration and management.
Park Min-kyu, CEO of Tradlinx, said, ¡°The innovative shipment-centric collaboration method and integrated trade management functions will maximize our customers' operational efficiency and play a major role in enhancing global competitiveness.¡±
