CJ Logistics completes deployment of next-generation delivery system 'LoIS Parcel' 'Processes up to 20 million data transactions per day' Distributed 4 servers to prevent overloading 2024/05 CJ Olive Networks announced that it has built CJ Logistics' next-generation parcel delivery system, 'LoIS Parcel'. LoIS Parcel is a large-scale project that CJ Logistics has been working on for three years since 2021, and CJ Olive Networks has successfully built a next-generation delivery system by efficiently managing specialized companies in each field. CJ Olive Networks has successfully built CJ Logistics' smart warehouse management system 'LoIS WMS' and integrated forwarding system 'Q'Bridge' and has been providing IT services to help CJ Logistics develop into a digital logistics innovator. The LoIS Parcel system was also built based on CJ Olive Networks' system integration (SI) know-how and differentiated competitiveness in the logistics field, and is being praised for stabilizing operations and improving efficiency to enhance service quality. CJ Olive Networks implemented a platform that enables integrated management of all data generated during the courier operation process, including the courier core system that manages the entire delivery process, the mobile app used by courier drivers, and the courier reception and tracking service for B2B. In particular, CJ Olive Networks implemented the project in a 'step-by-step open method' rather than the usual system integration (SI) method of shutting down the existing service after building the entire system to ensure a smooth transition to the new system without interrupting the existing system. The phased open method, which involves gradually migrating and replacing the existing system and the LoIS Parcel system while operating them in parallel, requires additional work to synchronize the new and old systems and a high level of technical skills to reliably manage the two systems simultaneously. This approach to system integration is a first of its kind. The phased rollout of LoIS Parcel will allow existing users of the old system to familiarize themselves with the new system and use the service seamlessly. One of LoIS Parcel's greatest strengths is its reliability. It can reliably process up to 20 million parcel deliveries per day. The company has secured an independent server operation system for each system by distributing the servers, which were previously operated as one, into four servers divided into core and channel services. This prevents server overload and ensures that service operations are not affected even if a specific server fails. It is also characterized by the transition from the existing physical server system to a Kubernetes-based cloud environment. The flexible cloud server operation enables CJ Olive Networks to respond quickly and efficiently to changes in delivery volume, including system improvements and expansions. The cloud server will be operated by CJ Olive Networks' cloud center. In addition, CJ Olive Networks has also built a new DW (data warehousing) system to support data-based management. The dashboard aggregates and analyzes all data from CJ Logistics' parcel delivery process, such as parcel receipt, collection, and delivery, in real time, and allows users to check it at a glance. CJ Olive Networks plans to actively support CJ Logistics' leap to becoming a global leading logistics company, not only by building a successful system for LoIS Parcel, but also by providing integrated management and stable system operation for all data generated during the delivery process. <Copyright ¨Ï Monthly Logistics Magazine (www.ulogistics.co.kr) All rights reserved>
